As those of you have read my recent articles will know, I’ve made the decision to transition from writing about gear to focus on getting out with my camera more.
In the last few weeks I’ve waved goodbye to my youngest daughter at the airport, shed more than a few tears, sold off all my camera gear except for Nikon (I sold the OM System gear too in the end) and have taken a few days off to try and recharge my batteries and reset myself to start building something once again.
With all that in mind, yesterday I went out with my camera to some local woodland up near Crieff, where I also shot my first video in some time. You can see that video below.
It’s the first in what will become a long running series and isn’t the finished product that I’m aiming for but it was a lovely morning out and was good practise to get back in to the swing of video again. The aim of these videos is to bring you along while I’m out photographing in Scotland for the projects that I’m working on, to show the area, where I am creating these images from and later, a bit of the why and how.
For now, I’ll leave you with a brief glimpse into some of the beautiful woodland near my home in Perthshire. Roll on Autumn.
