The Fuji Gear I’ve Used Over the Years
Since picking up the Fujifilm X-Pro1 back in 2013, I’ve spent over a decade using nearly every major camera and lens Fujifilm has produced. This list includes both current gear in my bag and equipment I’ve owned or used extensively in the past. Every review or opinion on this site is grounded in real-world experience, not just spec sheets or borrowed gear.

📷 Fujifilm X-T5
My main camera for travel, storytelling, and everyday shooting. It strikes the perfect balance between resolution, portability, and real-world usability. Paired with Fuji’s compact primes, this is the most versatile camera I’ve used.
📷 Fujifilm X100VI
This is my go-to everyday and travel camera — compact, powerful, and a joy to shoot with. The fixed 23mm f/2 lens and hybrid OVF/EVF make it perfect for documentary work and capturing life as it unfolds.
📷 Fujifilm GFX100S
This is my ultimate image quality setup — a medium format powerhouse I use for once-in-a-lifetime moments, portraits, and projects where detail and dynamic range truly matter. While not as compact as my X-Series gear, it’s surprisingly portable for a medium format system and delivers results that no other camera I’ve used can match.
Note: I don’t currently have any GFX articles on the site, but will be adding them in the future.
🔍 Current XF Lenses
🔹 Fujinon XF 18mm f/1.4 R LM WR
A fast, weather-sealed wide-angle prime that surprised me with its sharpness, rendering, and versatility for travel and storytelling. Perfect for dramatic scenes, environmental portraits, and creative everyday shooting.
🔹 Fujinon XF 23mm f/2 R WR
This is one of my favorite compact Fuji primes — small, weather-sealed, and fast enough for almost any travel or family photography. I’ve compared it directly with the X100VI and also written about why 23mm is my go-to focal length:
🔹 Fujinon XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR
The modern take on the classic 35mm equivalent. This version adds lightning-fast autofocus, weather sealing, and superior optics — making it one of the best all-around primes Fuji has ever made. See how it stacks up against the X100VI in this direct comparison:
🔹 Fujinon XF 35mm f/2 R WR
A small, lightweight, and weather-sealed normal prime that’s perfect for everyday shooting and travel. It focuses quickly, renders beautifully, and is one of the most affordable ways to get a classic 50mm-equivalent field of view on Fuji.
🔹 Fujinon XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR
Fuji’s modern 50mm equivalent prime with exceptional sharpness, fast autofocus, and weather sealing. Ideal for portraits, low-light shooting, and creating subject separation with its wide aperture.

Why This Matters
Many gear reviews online are based on limited hands-on time, press samples, or technical tests. This website is built differently. I’ve bought, used, and lived with Fuji gear — from their early X-Trans sensors through to their latest medium format releases. That means I can speak with real-world authority and help readers make informed, honest choices based on what actually matters in use — not just on paper.
Want to know how something feels or performs in the field? Chances are, I’ve already shot with it.
