The OM System Gear I’ve Used Over the Years

I use and review multiple camera systems. If you’d like to explore the other gear that I’m currently shooting with, here are the links to those:

I was an early mirrorless adopter — my first mirrorless was the Panasonic G3, followed quickly by the Olympus E-M5, which convinced me the future was mirrorless. Since then I’ve owned and used nearly every high-end Olympus/OM System body and a deep lineup of M.Zuiko lenses. This hub lists my current OM System kit plus cameras and lenses I’ve owned or used extensively in the past. As with my Fuji and Nikon hubs, everything here is grounded in long-term, real-world use — not spec sheets.

🔍 Current M.Zuiko Lenses

    🔹 M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.8 II

A compact, fast wide-normal prime that’s perfect for everyday carry, street work, and travel. Snappy focus and classic rendering.

    🔹 M.Zuiko 25mm f/1.2 PRO

My portrait-adjacent normal on OM System — gorgeous rendering, strong subject separation, and confident AF in low light.

    🔹 M.Zuiko 12–40mm f/2.8 PRO II

The workhorse standard zoom — constant f/2.8, excellent close-focus, and robust weather sealing. My default travel and family lens when I need flexibility.

Why This Matters

Micro Four Thirds has always been about agility and intent: smaller bodies, purposeful lenses, and a system that invites you to bring a camera everywhere. I’ve bought, used, and lived with OM System and Olympus gear for years — from early E-M bodies to modern PRO zooms and primes — and I write about how it performs in the field, not just on paper.

If you want to know how an OM System lens feels on a real day out — school run, street walk, travel day — I’ve probably shot it that way.
