Hi, it sounds like you're enjoying your Fujis. I used to ownt the X-T2 and always really liked it. I don't have any insider news on upcoming Fuji releases unfortunately.

All the best

I think a practical and frank opinion on X-T5 and Fuji as a whole than bashing it for the AF speed, accuracy and what not.
Have been using Fuji since 2012 when I started on with X-S1 superzoom and later in 2013 a X-E2. Left Sony world (DSLR) then.

Also wife had X-30. Later got a X-T2 in 2023 New in Box for $700. XF18-55, XF70-300, Tamron150-500 and Voigtlander 27/f2 are the glasses.

Love the Fuji colors and shoot a bit of birds. Still have the X-E2 and X-T2 but they don't see light much these days.

From your suggestions I think I may part with X-E2 also and go for a XH2s to cover birds in action while X-T2 covers the general family and such? Or is there any news for something new coming?

In reply to James.

Hi James,

The only X-TXX series I have shot with is the X-T30 and I had some focus issues with it shooting portraits. I wasn't too happy with it to be honest. From that I would have to assume the X-T20 is a little worse still. The X-T2, that's a different story, I really enjoyed that camera. If it was me, I'd consider getting a used X-T3 from MPB (I've used them a lot and theyre great to deal with) if you can push the budget a little. I owned one and it was an excellent camera. Plenty good enough autofocus, image quality and handling.

All the best

Hi David, I am looking to get a Fujifilm x-t camera. As I am on a budget I have been looking at used x-t2, i read you review of it. I do like a touch screen and being able to take a photo with the touch screen. I beleive the x-t20 has this. Have you used the x-t20? Or maybe I should stretch to the x-t3

Best wishes.

In reply to Burak Baş.

Hi Burak,

That will be a very good upgrade. The X-T5 is a fantastic camera. The setup files should give you a great starting point from which to make the camera your own.

All the best

Thank you very much for your nice article about X-T5. I am thinking to upgrade from X-T200 to X-T5 and your article is guided me very well. Also, I downloaded your camera setup file.

at no doubt the XT5 is the good camera, people often criticize the auto focus is very bad, but for me is really no problem because I am not the movie maker, I enjoy the life shooting with XT5, especially I fall into the Fujifilm decipe group, the combination of such beautiful pictures that created by Fuji colors. That' great!
